Labels
Labelling of packaging can be carried out in both hot and cold methods. The choice of the appropriate adhesive depends on the backing material and the type of label or pin. It also depends on the technological equipment on which the labelling process will take place and on the further storage of the products.
Dispersion adhesives
In the woodworking industry, PVAC dispersion adhesives are mainly used, divided according to water resistance into classes D1 to D4. Polyurethane aqueous dispersions are used in the cladding (3D) of furniture doors, with heat reactivation of the adhesive. In the case of cold cladding of wooden profiles, EVA-based dispersions are used.
Hot melt adhesives
Fusible adhesives are used to edge wood materials with paper, veneer or ABS edge. The application is carried out on mechanical edging machines that have the possibility of melting the adhesive to the application temperature. EVA, APAO and PUR based hot melt adhesives are used to sheath the profiles. The choice of the appropriate adhesive depends on the substrate material used for the cladding, as well as the water and heat resistance requirements of the product.
